Excellent location directly by the water reservoir Rakaca makes it ideal for relaxation in a quiet environment with opportunities for sports and hiking activities in the heart of pure nature.

Next to the ruins of the castle in the village of Szendrő, a 25-meter-high wooden lookout tower was built in 2012. The tower offers a beautiful 360-degree panorama. L'Huillier-Coburg Mansion in the town of Edelény is one of the largest palaces in Hungary. This beautiful example of early Baroque architecture was built by Jean-Francois L'Huillier, who comes from Alsace-Lorraine in France. Nearby is the famous Templomkert restaurant. Also nearby is the exceptional cave complex of Aggtelek National Park and Szádvár Castle.

In the village of Meszes itself, there are small grocery stores. In the village of Sajoszentpeter, you can find Pizza Pasta Buona Sera.
